Sloane hates the idea of aging; she dreads looking in the mirror and seeing new wrinkles. When her husband books a surprise birthday weekend getaway for her and her best friend, she’s not exactly in the best mood to be reminded she’s getting older.
Naomi is a bit of a wild child, she loves to party and has been traveling around Europe with her boyfriend’s band, so she is bound and determined to put a little pep in Sloane’s life during their weekend together. When she meets a sexy, mysterious man at the local bar who invites them to a party at his place, she jumps at the chance. Sloane is hesitant, but begrudgingly agrees. When they arrive at the house, the vibes are immediately off. The other guests are all in various states of strange attire and speak with even stranger accents, the house is filthy, lit only by candlelight, and there seems to be a weird moan and rattling sound coming from the basement…Let’s just say, this is a night that they will remember for, literally, forever.
If you’re looking for your usual run of the mill vampire tale, this isn’t it. No fangs, aversion to garlic, or bursting into flames when in sunlight here! What you do get, is a tale of two women facing morality and mortality and if they can come to terms with and accept the new life they’ve been given. Can these two best friends survive this change, and eternity, together?
But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of creepy moments, sexy times, and lots and lots of blood.
