Tech Class: Applying for Benefits Online

Learn how to use online tools to find and apply for resources including food assistance, jobs, unemployment, healthcare and more. Understand what information you’ll need and which websites to use and find out how the library can help you grow your technology skills!

Massachusetts 2-1-1

Mass 2-1-1 is an online portal and phone number used to search resources available to Mass residents. Included in this service is a Call2Talk Mental health Line, help with food security, utility assistance, domestic violence, transportation, and youth services.

MassHealth Connector

Another online tool discussed in class is how to apply for MassHealth. And how to find additional assistance filling out the application through a local enrollment assister, who can answer your questions by phone and in-person.

Employment Resources

Learn about MassHire Career Centers for Jobseekers where one can receive personalized career guidance, informative workshops, specialized training programs, valuable job referrals, expert resume assistance, and access to a wide array of job listings. In addition, the library offers career databases that have resume and cover letter templates, live interactive online help, and more! These databases are available at the library or from home with your Haverhill Public Library card.
