Are you a fan of reality cooking competitions? Have you ever wanted two of the contestants to fall for each other? Then this book is for you! Dahlia Woodson decides to try her hand at the reality show Chef’s Special, hoping to further her cooking skills and reinvent herself – plus the cash prize would really help her pay off some debt. What she didn’t expect was to fall for another contestant. Enter London Parker, openly non-binary and a bit of a grump. They just want to cook and prove their dad (and online trolls) wrong. London is thrown off guard when Dahlia is stationed in front of them. Everything about her is distracting. The two soon hit it off as friends and then quickly realize it’s more than that.

I tore through this book in just a few days. I loved the cooking show setting, it made it really fun. The writing is funny and heartwarming and the romance is swoonworthy. Dahlia and London are very easy to fall in love with and root for. Secondary characters, such as some of the other chefs and Dahlia’s and London’s siblings, are equally delightful.
