Police Sergeant Nicholas Angel has dedicated his life to being the very best police officer he can be and the higher ups have noticed . . . that he is making everyone else look bad. To solve the problem, they send him to the most peaceful rural village they can find, where Nicholas now has to deal with a naïve and overeager PC, impossibly quaint villagers, and a string of grisly “accidents.” While he becomes more and more suspicious that something nefarious is going on, everyone else is insisting that he’s imagining things.
