A New Tomorrow Starts Today!

Reach your education and career goals with Gale Presents: Excel Adult High School, an accredited high school completion program available free to eligible adults through the Haverhill Public Library in partnership with the Boston Public Library. Earn your diploma online, on your terms, and graduate ready for your next step. The program is self-paced and can be completed in up to 24 months. Participants can graduate in less time with transfer credits from previous high school(s) and passed portions of the GED, HiSet, or TASC exams. Students have access to unlimited one-on-one tutoring sessions and support from success coaches. The counseling team can assist with course selection, college planning, or career guidance. Course translations and read-aloud tools for English language learners are available.

The accredited high school diploma is accepted by colleges, employers, and the military and the 21.5-credit curriculum is aligned to national standards. Learners can select from more than 100 core academic, elective, and college-level courses. Plus, students can earn up to 21 free college credits through ACE (American Council on Education) courses.

The schedule is flexible and self-paced but be aware that online learning isn’t right for everyone! You will need a computer or tablet with internet service and 8 hours or more a week to work on the coursework. Want to learn more? Click here to view the frequently asked questions.

Those who successfully complete the prerequisite course with a 70 percent or higher within two weeks will be eligible for a scholarship award. Prospective students will be contacted by the library to discuss their application into the program and to schedule an interview at the library. A determination will be made regarding the scholarship award by the library’s enrollment team after the interview. Sign up now!
