Para aquellos que nunca han tocado un ordenador o tienen habilidades limitadas con el ratón, esta clase introducirá los conceptos básicos de tener un ordenador, ratón y teclado. También exploraremos cómo encontrar información en línea y desarrollar habilidades de navegación web.

This is a two-part program. Session 1 is on May 1, and session 2 is on May 8. Both sessions will take place in the Milhendler Room. Registering here will sign you up for both sessions.

5/4 | 7-8 PM | VIRTUAL Relax, Reflect, and Recharge: A Stress Relief Workshop

Unwind and release tension with guided relaxation techniques. Through reflective journaling, gentle movement, breathing exercises, and meditation this workshop is the perfect opportunity allowing you to center yourself and find a sense of peace and balance. The knowledge and tools you acquire here will also serve you well in your day-to-day life.

Learn all about the biology of ticks and the growing threat of tick-borne diseases. Led by Dr. Stephen Rich, a UMass Microbiology professor and director of the Laboratory of Medical Zoology. He is also principal owner of Medzu Inc., which provides the TickReport testing service.

Help us divert usable craft supplies from landfills and make crafting more accessible to our community! Any remaining items may be used for library programs or donated locally.

Join us for another program in HPL’s Climate & Community Series!

What is the fastest growing outdoor activity in America?  It’s birding!  In the next 50 years, birding will grow at a faster rate than the U.S. population.  During this workshop by Mass Audubon, we’ll discuss birdwatching basics, how to choose the right binoculars, and what to look for in a field guide.

Join author Sarah Prager as she shares fascinating stories form LGBTQ+ history you’ve never heard before.

Before and after the talk, enjoy activities and time to connect with the Haverhill Public Library, Haverhill Pride Collective, Buttonwoods Museum, Creative Haverhill, and Good and Golden Books.

Before we hear from Sarah, Haverhill Pride Collective wants to hear from YOU.

If you are interested, share a piece of your own LGBTQ+ history: a memory, a person, a moment that mattered. Submissions received by May 27 will be showcased at the event as part of a community story collection. This project is coordinated by Haverhill Pride Collective. Submission link coming soon!

Queer Stories guests are welcome to enter City Hall through the side and rear entrances. Please note that the main front entrance will be closed for this event. Accessible access is available via the Main Street parking lot along the Main Street side of the building.
