1946 London is a city full of people emerging from the darkness of WWII. Among those are Gabriel and Trottie Book, booksellers with shadowy pasts who are ready at a moment’s notice to delve into a mystery that arises in the neighborhood. As they start investigating, they pull along a young man who is just out of prison and has been assigned to work in their shop. He is not quite sure why he’s there or what the Books are doing, and as the season progresses he delves deeper into those questions and how they could be connected to him. This is an enjoyable cozy mystery tv series created by and starring Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) and we can look forward to Season 2, which is set to air later this year.
