Calling all young writers!
To celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), we are holding a “Write Your Story” contest! To participate, write an original story and submit it to us by November 30th at midnight. Your story can be about anything and written in any genre.
First and second place in each age group will have their stories displayed in the Children‘s Room. First and second place winners will be chosen from the following age groups: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Winners will be selected by December 18th.
All entries that follow the guidelines will receive a prize!
Guidelines:
- Ages 5 – 12
- Word count must be between 200 -1,200 words.
- Please submit as a Microsoft Word document, original illustrations may be scanned in and included. Please include a title page (title of story, name of author, and age of author).
- One entry per person.
- Submit to kids@haverhillpl.org
- Submission deadline: November 30th, midnight.
