Upcoming Pride events for teens

--Teen Events Teens

It’s Pride month and we’re celebrating with several teen events!

Drop by the Teen Zone on June 8 between 3 and 5pm to make Pride buttons!

Join debut author Andrew Joseph White for a Pride Month discussion about his YA horror dystopia novel, Hell Followed With Us, about embracing the monster within and unleashing its power against your oppressors. Sixteen-year-old trans boy Benji is on the run from the cult that raised him—the fundamentalist sect that unleashed Armageddon and decimated the world’s population. Desperately, he searches for a place where the cult can’t get their hands on him, or more importantly, on the bioweapon they infected him with. Teens and adults are invited to hear about a novel that Kirkus describes as “a gloriously ferocious and scorching blaze.” in their starred review.

Let’s celebrate Pride Month with a picnic on the library lawn! We’ll hang out, chat about LGBTQ books the library has, and more! Prepackaged snacks will be served.

In the event of rain, the program will be moved into the auditorium.

For those in grades 6-12.

Drop-ins welcome, but pre-registration is appreciated so we have enough food!

Make a leather keychain and decorate it in your pride colors!
