ABOUT THE EVENT

Join the library to celebrate the beginning of summer on Saturday, June 18! This event will be a fun-filled day for the whole family – starting at 10:00am and going till 3:00pm! There will be something for everyone! While most of our activities do not require registration, be sure to register in advance for those that do! While registrations can be done on the day of the event, we cannot guarantee there will be space! We look forward to seeing everyone at this fun-filled event! Don’t miss out!

The Kick Off Party is also a great time to sign up for our exciting summer reading program: Read off the Beaten Path. Registration for summer reading will be available for all ages! Sign-up all summer long to get in on all of the fun activities and prizes!
Those that register on the day of the event will be entered into a raffle drawing for a chance to win 2 tickets to Canobie Lake Park!
This event will also mark the start of our annual Patron Pantry Food Drive! Feel free to bring non-perishable food items to donate! Library members will get a piece of library swag as our thank you for donating to this great cause. We cannot accept glass containers, expired food, or open packages. Please bring any donations to the designated table at the event!

CRAFTS

Stop by the library anytime throughout the day to make some great crafts!

Kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis!

LAWN GAMES

Try your hand at various lawn games! We will have a pirate bean bag toss, ring toss, checkers, and tic-tac-toe!

POKEMON GO SAFARI

Attention all Pokemon Go players! We will be dropping lures all day to help fill your Pokedex! Catch a great Pokemon?! Show us and you might win a prize!

TOE JAM PUPPET BAND

Sing, dance, and play with this show that features interactive songs, stories, and puppets.

This performance will be held outside (weather permitting) to accommodate as many patrons as possible!

10:30AM – 12:00PM

LASER TAG – REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Challenge your friends and family to a laser tag battle! Each session is for 15 minutes of fun and registration is required! Please only register for one session and register each child and caregiver who wishes to participate! Registration opens Saturday, June 4!

MINI GOLF COURSE

Visit the Children’s Room to play a round of putt-putt golf inside the library! We will have a 9-hole course for you to test your skills!

Get a beautiful henna tattoo from the fantastic Mandy Roberge of Wicked Good Henna!

JEDI ACADEMY – REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Join the Story School for lessons on how to be a Jedi! Learn how to properly wield a lightsaber, and train with fellow Padawans as you fight against the rising threat of the Sith! May the force be with you! Registration opens Saturday, June 4!

Session 1 (1:00pm-1:30pm) is geared towards ages 7-12.
Session 2 (2:00pm-2:30pm) is geared towards ages 12+!


WAIVERS NEEDED: It is very important that all of the attendees provide a signed waiver. This must be filled out by a parent or legal guardian for all Jedi under the age of 18 that will be participating in the adventure. Fill the waiver out here!
