Peer Mentors’ Mental Health Stories

--Kids Events --Teen Events

January 25th at 4pm

Do you struggle with your mental health or know someone who does? Hear from peer mentors who went through similar problems and learn how they coped and found help.

These stories detail The NAN Project’s Peer Mentors’ struggles with mental illness and other issues facing young people, but more importantly, discuss the support they were able to access and the coping strategies they have employed to find a path to recovery. By presenting these stories, we create a safe space for students to talk about mental health. In these presentations we also cover the signs and risks of a peer who may be struggling, as well as how to get them help in a crisis. This program is geared towards tweens and teens in middle school.
