Read, Renew, Repeat, Wrap Up

Kids

The summer has come to a close and school has started up again. With that, brings the end of our summer reading challenge and it’s time to go over all the stats!

All in all we had 109 participants. We had a wide range of ages take part in the challenge, but by far the largest group of kids were between the ages of 5 and 6. 918 badges were earned over the two months and 1,590 days of reading were logged. That’s a lot of reading! We also grew a window display of paper flowers as kids completed lines of bingo on their challenge board.

Throughout the summer we had lots of awesome programs. Including our weekly storytimes, the library held 104 children’s programs over the summer with about 2,500 attendees in total. What a great summer at the Haverhill Public Library!
