This warm and funny Korean drama follows two doctors, once school rivals, who are now both at low points in their lives. Ha-neul has been diagnosed with depression and has dramatically quit her job after being used and unappreciated in her job as an anesthesiologist. Jeong-woo owned and operated a popular plastic surgery practice and social media channel until one of his patients died during surgery; now he is embroiled in a legal battle and has lost everything. It is at this point that they come back in to each other’s lives when Jeong-woo rents the rooftop apartment over Ha-neul’s family’s home. While antagonistic memories from their school days puts them at odds at first, they soon start seeing things differently and taking care of each other. A conspiracy and old resentments add a bit of tension to the narrative, and delightful side characters like Ha-neul’s family and their meddlesome friends keep the laughs coming. This is a really lovely show that will pull the full gamut of emotions from you. The actors are lovable and entertaining, and you know that despite these doctors being in a slump, they will support each other until they are once more at the top.
