To Our Future Volunteers

The Haverhill Public Library is grateful for the hard work put in by volunteers every day. We strive to offer a pleasant and rewarding environment in which people can volunteer.

We always happily accept new applications (even if our roster is full), which are kept on file for 6 months in case positions become available.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete the application and the CORI form and submit to a member of HPL staff either via email or in person.

For more information or questions about the volunteer program, please contact Sarah Moser ( at (978) 373-1586 ext. 621.

PLEASE NOTE: All adult (18+) volunteers, including those seeking community service hours, must undergo and pass a background check. Please present a completed CORI form with your Volunteer Application (or after you submit the online application). This process can take 2-4 weeks to complete and no volunteer may begin before it is complete. You must show your government-issued photo ID (passport, license or learner’s permit, MA state ID card for adults to a staff member when you turn in the completed CORI form, OR provide a photocopy).
