NaNoWriMo 2020!

General

November is National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo)! According to the NaNoWriMo site, this monthly event “began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel during the thirty days of November.”

Have you ever written an extended work of fiction? Would you like to try, but could use some pointers? HPL has some books here in the library that may be able to help you tackle your next creative project.

Additionally, check out the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium Overdrive Digital Library, which contains several ebooks relating to novel writing, including the official NaNoWriMo handbook!

HPL’s Fall Adult Reading Challenge in Beanstack includes weekly activities relating to NaNoWriMo. Join the challenge, and if you’re participating in NaNoWriMo, keep us updated on your progress and share your story with us! The more activities you complete in the challenge, the more opportunities you have to enter into raffles and win prizes! Visit haverhillpl.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack app to get started. Happy writing!
