In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to shout out my favorite biopic of all time, Selena (1997), which follows the life and tragic murder of Mexican-American Queen of Tejano music and fashion icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. Jennifer Lopez does an amazing job of bringing Selena’s personality and heart to the screen, not to mention her spitting image. Even if you have never heard of Selena like me before high school Spanish class, you’ll be in love after this movie saying “anything for Salinas!” And of course make sure to check out our Selena CD selection!
