If you enjoyed Backrooms (2026) and are seeking another unsettling horror film, try Exit 8!
Exit 8 the film is based on a 2023 first-person videogame of the same name by Kotake Create. This Japanese movie follows the main character as he tries to find his exit at a subway station. But to his alarm, he slowly realizes that he’s stuck in a loop, repeatedly walking down the same white-tiled corridor. He learns that he must identify anomalies in his environment for the chance of escape.
The film does a good job of adding characters to the story while keeping the eerie plot of the original game intact. If you enjoy learning behind the scenes details and set design, check out the special features on this Blu-ray copy.
