SILVER MEDALS is the bi-monthly book club that discusses Newbery Honor books. Not the gold-medal winners — but the runner ups.
Newbery Honor books are typically written for readers ages 10-12, but all interested young readers are welcome to join us for a guided discussion. We will discuss each book virtually — or in person, if conditions permit. You do not need to attend every meeting, but we hope you will!
Register online to receive your SILVER MEDALS book club kit. This kit includes a journal, pen, and book darts to mark all your favorite passages. You will also receive a silver medal to wear to every meeting.
Every other month, you will receive your own paperback copy of the book that is up for discussion. Here is the schedule for 2021. All meetings are Thursdays at 4 p.m. in the auditorium and Google Meet (hybrid).
