Finding Aids – Genealogy

This collection provides information and records of 24 of the cemeteries in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Information includes inscriptions of graves, burial lot information and information about the cemetery associations among other things. The majority of the information relates to burial information and gravestones. The collection has been organized into two series. Series one contains general cemetery information. Series two contains the records, organized by cemetery.

Nearly 300 individual and familial records are represented in this collection. Ranging in dates from the 17th century to the 20th century, most of the materials originate from the 19th and 20th centuries. Included in the collection are biographical and genealogical information, legal documents, property records, tax records, correspondence, various receipts, and newspaper clippings. Some of the materials are on permanent loan from the Haverhill Historic Society. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order by personal or family name.
