The Youth Services Room is reserved for use by children and their caregivers. Adults over the age of 18 not accompanying a child may be asked to leave the Youth Services Room at any time.

Adults are welcome to use the collection in order to find books or DVDs, teachers and tutors are encouraged to seek resources, and adults accompanying a child are welcome to use the room and maintain close supervision of the child they are with. However, adults seeking a place to sit, read, study, or use laptops or other devices will be asked to do so in the adult areas on the 1st floor. Teens will be directed to the Teen Area as well.

Computers in the Youth Services Room are reserved for use by children; adults may only use these computers with a child.

This policy is in place to comply with grant and donation specifications, as well as to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children.

Library staff are required to bring to an individual’s attention any act or omission which violates the Code of Conduct and related library policies. The person exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be asked to change his or her behavior to conform to library policies. If such a change is not evident or forthcoming, that person will be asked to leave the library and library grounds.
